IMAGINE YOUR DAY TRANSFORMING LIKE THIS…

From overwhelm to empowerment

Meet John*, a dedicated father to his 30-year-old daughter, Anne, who has cerebral palsy. John has always been Anne’s primary caregiver, a task he approaches with love but finds increasingly challenging. Here’s how Evian Care revolutionized their daily lives.

🌻 Morning

John’s day begins under a cloud of uncertainty. Although he’s cared for Anne for years, every day brings new challenges, and there’s always that nagging question: “Am I doing this right?” The weight of solo caregiving, without guidance, infuses his days with stress.

☀️ Mid-morning

Trying to squeeze in some part-time work from home, John’s constantly torn between his job and Anne. His insurance’s reimbursement covers only a fraction of his efforts, making every day a juggle between earning and caring. Interruptions from Anne pulls him away, leaving him feeling like he’s failing at both caregiving and his job.

🌞 Afternoon

Fatigue starts creeping in, but there’s no pause button. While caring for Emily is rewarding in itself, having nobody to take over means no breaks, no matter how much he needs one. He worries he’s not able to fully show up for Anne, and also wishes he could focus some time on other aspects of his life.

🌙 Evening

John’s friends call him up to go out, but he can’t join them because Anne needs him. He tried hiring caregivers for a day in the past, but he found them to be inadequately trained to handle Anne’s needs. He wishes he had someone to turn to who he could fully trust with his daughter.

🌗 Night

Researching online for activities to engage Anne and foster her growth, John finds the abundance of online information overwhelming and confusing. He occasionally calls some agencies to ask about their services, but they only seem interested in profit and give generic responses that leave him feeling isolated.

🌻 Morning

John wakes up with a sense of calm. He knows that challenges lie ahead, but he’s equipped with expert training and resources from Evian Care that give him confidence that he’s giving Anne the best care possible.

☀️ Mid-morning

John focuses his full attention on Anne, doing some exercises together that Evian Care’s support team taught him in order to support her in gaining independence and growth.

🌞 Afternoon

John has a scheduled call with Jenny, Evian Care’s manager, in order to talk about how things are going. He shares his most recent concerns, receiving thoughtful advice. He ends the call feeling reassured and with a plan for what to do next.

🌙 Evening

John prepares to go out with his friends, as he had arranged for a substitute caregiver to come for the evening. He cares deeply for Anne, but recognises that he can show up as his best self for her when he takes a break — and he has full confidence in the caregivers provided by Evian Care to care for Anne with as much love as he has.

🌗 Night

John arrives back home finding Anne relaxed and content. The caregiver shares the evening’s highlights and notable observations. John feels a deep sense of gratitude knowing he has a support network to lean on whenever he needs it.
